Approved Electrician
Crown Oil Environmental is a leading UK specialist in fuel storage, environmental and hazardous waste services. We work with commercial and industrial customers nationwide, delivering fuel storage installations, maintenance, inspections, repairs, decommissioning and emergency response services.
Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced Approved Electrician to join our nationwide engineering team.
The Role
As an Approved Electrician, you'll carry out a wide range of electrical duties across commercial fuel storage and forecourt installations throughout the UK. The role includes new installations, maintenance, inspection, testing, fault finding and decommissioning works, working alongside our specialist engineering teams.
This is a field-based position involving regular travel and occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain and repair electrical systems associated with commercial fuel storage installations.
Install and commission fuel management systems, pumps, motors, control panels and associated equipment.
Carry out inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.
Diagnose and rectify faults on commercial and industrial electrical systems.
Support tank installation, inspection, maintenance and decommissioning projects.
Complete all electrical certification, service reports and job documentation accurately.
Work safely in accordance with BS 7671, company procedures and site-specific RAMS.
Liaise professionally with customers and colleagues on site.
Ensure company equipment and vehicles are maintained to a high standard.
About You
We're looking for a fully qualified electrician with experience working within commercial or industrial environments who takes pride in delivering safe, high-quality work.
Essential
ECS Gold Card (Approved or Installation Electrician).
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
AM2 or AM2E.
18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent).
Experience working on commercial or industrial electrical installations.
Experience with three-phase systems, motors, pumps, control panels and fault finding.
Full UK Driving Licence.
Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away overnight when required.
Desirable
Experience working on fuel storage systems or petrol forecourts.
Experience within hazardous area environments.
CompEx qualification (or willingness to undertake company-funded training).
