We usually respond within three days
Are you highly organised, a confident communicator and someone who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment?
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Controller to join our busy team based in Pilsworth.
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. Working within a fast-moving engineering environment, you'll be responsible for coordinating engineers, managing schedules and ensuring the smooth running of multiple projects across the UK.
Our operational landscape changes quickly, so we're looking for someone who can think on their feet, adapt to shifting priorities and keep everything moving in the right direction.
You'll be working closely with Field Engineers, Sales, Operations and Management, making strong communication, organisation and attention to detail essential.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and schedule field engineers across multiple UK projects.
Manage engineer availability, workloads and changing operational requirements.
Communicate effectively with sales engineers, operations teams and management to ensure projects run smoothly.
Respond quickly to last-minute changes, scheduling conflicts and operational challenges.
Organise travel, accommodation, equipment and materials where required.
Monitor project progress and ensure key information is communicated to the relevant teams.
Maintain accurate records, schedules and operational documentation.
Support compliance requirements, including training, certifications and site documentation.
Identify potential issues early and take a proactive approach to resolving them.
Support the wider operations team in improving efficiency and day-to-day processes.
About You
We're looking for someone who enjoys being busy, takes pride in being organised and can confidently manage multiple priorities.
The ideal candidate will have:
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong communication skills, with the confidence to deal with people at all levels of the business.
The ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and priorities.
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach to problem-solving.
The ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
Confidence in making decisions and taking ownership of responsibilities.
Strong teamwork skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
Previous experience in operations coordination, engineering, construction, utilities or a similar fast-paced environment.
Experience in coordinating field engineers, managing logistics or working within a technical or engineering environment would be particularly advantageous.
Why This Role?
This isn't a role where you'll be doing the same thing every day.
Priorities can change quickly, challenges arise and plans need to adapt. We're looking for someone who enjoys that variety, can keep multiple moving parts organised and takes satisfaction in making sure everything comes together.
If you're a natural organiser, a great communicator and someone who enjoys solving problems in a busy environment, we'd love to hear from you.
